About me

22712305_133246137274180_8542461942527229297_o.jpg

I am an Accredited member of BACP (the British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists) and work within their Ethical Framework which is available to view on their website (www.bacp.co.uk). I have an MA in Counselling and have developed an integrative approach to therapy which means that I can offer interventions from a variety of different approaches. At the heart of my work is the understanding that the relationship we build together is foundational to facilitating any growth, healing or changes that you may wish to make.

I live in the Hamilton area of Leicester which can be reached by bus or car.

Alongside my private therapy practice I also work for the NHS where I have gained a wide variety of experience and ongoing opportunities for development and training.

Throughout my life I have been drawn to listening to and supporting others and I have benefited from those who have been able to offer the same to me. Through a variety of life experiences I became increasingly passionate about providing a safe space for people experiencing distress and difficulties, particularly for those people who felt that they couldn't talk to the people around them or believed that no-one would understand what they were going through. This motivated me to pursue rigorous training in counselling and psychotherapy and continues to inspire me to improve my understanding through further reading and learning.
